“If we stand tall it is because we stand on the shoulders of many ancestors.”
Our Purpose
Despite our religious beliefs, spirituality, or our role in business and society, there exists so many ways, both small or formal to remember those who have passed on, the contributions their existence made to our lives, the heritage they blessed us with, and the ongoing impact they continue to have on the next generation.
This influences everything we do from designing products, to selecting artist, to how our partnerships can impact the planet. This belief defines our culture and above all it gives us a clear purpose to “inspire – sometime provoke – women to celebrate their distinct heritage so they can create considerable positive impact in today’s society.”
At the same time, our wish is to create a greater awareness of the beauty and individuality of the people and artists we encounter, and encourage a positive dialogue between the marvelous cultures, heritages and traditions.
We are especially inspired by the women of Africa who teach us the power and resilience of the human spirit and the innate creativity that lies within each one of us. We admire how they embrace their heritage, and by extension their identities, and build strong lasting values. The Wild Rabbit House hopes to find the best way to help them preserve their culture, get access to education and create sustainable income stream for their community. To us – these women are an embodiment of wisdom, dignity and unbelievable bravery. We want to thank them.
Why The Wild Rabbit?
My love for the wild rabbits began when I was just a little one. They would come calling very early in the morning – with the first ray of sunlight – to grab a carrot and fill my fantasy world. As I grew older, our paths kept crossing. These wild rabbits would witness many special moments of my life and shared more wild dreams. Today, I have built a home and a wild garden – where they are welcome to stay for a while and share this next journey!
