Jewelry design is a very labor-intensive vocation. The ability to design and sculpt unique shapes with natural elements is a God’s gift. We go wild for the organic design of Julie Cohn. Making stunning things seems as natural as breathing to her. Her beautiful pieces are inspired by Italian, Greek, and African ancient jewelry. Yet there is a simplicity in her style that is also very modern. We truly appreciate the uniqueness of these creations and the complex process that’s involved in making these wearable sculptures.
Her pieces are about possibilities for layering and stacking to create one-of-a-kind collages or small sculptures that uniquely juxtapose disparate elements with simple elegance and a little edge. The collection features everything from bracelets, pendants, statement necklaces and striking earrings.
Made in America, each piece has been carved in wax by the designer, and finished by hand in her studio in Dallas. The collection is cast in ancient bronze and sterling silver, and combined with semi-precious stones.
Her pieces have an incredible hand-cobbled, earthy element that evokes a sense of mysterious soul and depth. Their perfect “imperfect” shapes and texture give each jewel its own individual personalities. The natural organic elements found in Julie Cohn Design definitely connect us to these ancient civilizations.
